Question 1

How does Lucilla work?

Accepted Answer

Challenge a friend, or team up two against two, pick a length (a day, a week or a month), and whoever walks more steps wins. Challenges can be free or have a stake; step counts come from a wearable or phone so no one can fake a walk. On Google Play the app is free challenges only; stakes owed are paid on lucilla.app.

Question 2

Is Lucilla gambling?

Accepted Answer

No. Lucilla is skills-based — the outcome is determined entirely by who takes more real, verified steps during the match. There is no randomness, no chance element, and no house edge. Entry stakes go directly to the winner's wallet. This is legally distinct from gambling in most jurisdictions because skill, not chance, decides the winner.

Question 3

How is Lucilla different from Pacer, Sweatcoin, or StepN?

Accepted Answer

Lucilla is head-to-head: you play against friends, one-on-one or in teams, instead of chasing a solo step target, and the score comes from your wearable. Every challenge can be free.

Question 4

What wearables are supported?

Accepted Answer

Apple Watch, Fitbit, Pixel Watch, Galaxy Watch, Garmin, Polar, Amazfit, Suunto and COROS. Paid challenges need an approved wearable; phone step counts are accepted for free challenges.

Question 5

Is Lucilla available now?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lucilla is free on the App Store and on Google Play. Free challenges, the journal and social cost nothing.
