Use it in the app, or through your AI

Ask your AI for your family’s groceries.

Lucilla works inside the app, and it also works through any AI assistant that supports MCP, the standard way assistants connect to services. One Lucilla account, one household profile, and you decide what the assistant may do.

How to connect

Three steps. You stay in control.

  1. 01

    Add Lucilla to your assistant

In an AI assistant that supports remote MCP servers, add a custom connector and paste the address below.

  2. 02

    Sign in and choose

A Lucilla page opens. Sign in with email, Google or Apple, then tick what the assistant may do. Nothing is allowed until you tick it.

  3. 03

    Ask for groceries

“Plan my family’s next 14 days.” The assistant uses your household profile, builds the cart at a real store near you and shows the prices.

Where you paste it depends on your assistant: look for custom connectors or MCP servers in its settings. Sign-in uses the standard OAuth flow, so we never see your assistant’s own password.

Example: Claude

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Lucilla and paste the address above. Continue.
  4. Sign in to Lucilla when asked, tick what Claude may do, then Add.
  5. In a chat, press + at the lower left, then Connectors, and switch Lucilla on.

From Claude’s help page on custom connectors, read October 20, 2026. Open it

Example: ChatGPT

  1. Open Plugins in the left menu.
  2. Click Add at the top right, then Add custom MCP server.
  3. Name it Lucilla, keep Server URL, and paste the address above.
  4. Leave Authentication on OAuth, tick the box that says you understand the risk, then Create as a plugin.
  5. Sign in to Lucilla when asked.

Read in a free ChatGPT account on October 20, 2026. We have not completed a connection there, so wording may differ by plan.

Gemini and others

In the Gemini app, Settings has Connected Apps (a Connectors tab). On October 20, 2026 it listed Google Workspace, Gemini Notebook, Asana, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Salesforce and GitHub. We saw no option there, or in the chat + menu, to add your own server, so we do not list steps for Gemini and Lucilla is not in that list. If your assistant has a custom connector or MCP option, paste the same address. Otherwise use the Lucilla app.

What you can allow

Two permissions for groceries. Each one is your choice.

  • See your grocery carts

Your most recent cart: items, prices and the store they are priced at.

  • Generate a grocery cart for you

Run your family profile through Lucilla’s planner and save a new cart.

You can disconnect an assistant at any time from the You tab in the Lucilla app.

Planned, not live yet

Phone check, and a pay link when something costs money.

  • Verify your phone once, so an assistant is tied to one real person and one account, the same one you use in the app.
  • A pay link if a feature needs a subscription: the assistant gives you a link to approve on your own device, so nothing is charged by an assistant on its own.

Today, sign-in is by email, Google or Apple. We will say here when these two ship.

No account yet?

Create your household profile in the app first. The assistant reads it, so you set up who you feed once.
